Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the control you have over it.

Last updated: 19 August 2026

1. Who we are

Probacure is a brand owned by Probatech Ltd, a company registered in the United Kingdom. Probatech Ltd is the data controller for the personal information described in this policy, wherever in the world you are when you provide it.

Probatech LLC, our wholly owned US subsidiary, does not act as a separate controller for information collected through this website.

2. What we collect

Almost everything we hold is information you chose to give us. The one exception is the technical data every website receives in order to serve a page.

Visiting this website

Our host records the standard information a web server needs to deliver a page and keep the site secure and reliable: your IP address, the pages requested, the time of the request, and your browser and device type. We do not use this to build a profile of you or to work out who you are, and it is not combined with anything you send us through a form.

Enquiries

When you contact us or submit a form, we collect your name, work email address, company name, and anything else you write to us.

The partnering readiness assessment

The assessment asks about your company as well as about you. Depending on the questions you answer, that can include your programme's stage of development, your fundraising position, and other commercial details such as financial runway. We treat this as confidential business information. See section 7.

Answer only what you are comfortable sharing. The assessment is more useful the more context you give us, but no single question is required for us to respond.

We do not ask for special category data: health, ethnicity, political opinions, and the other categories listed in Article 9 of the UK GDPR. Please do not send it to us.

3. Why we use it, and our lawful basis

We use what you send us to reply to you and to prepare for that conversation: reviewing your assessment answers, understanding your position, and responding with something useful. That is the only purpose.

Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: our interest in responding to business enquiries and your interest in receiving a considered reply. Handling a message from a professional who deliberately contacted us is what you would reasonably expect, and it does not override your rights.

We will not add you to a marketing list. We reply about the subject of your enquiry and nothing else. If we ever want to send you anything broader, we will ask you first.

4. Who else handles it

Three service providers process information on our behalf. Each acts on our instructions under a data processing agreement, and none of them uses your information for its own purposes.

  • Typeform hosts our forms and the readiness assessment, and stores the responses.
  • Zoho CRM is where we keep the enquiry so we can act on it and follow up. Our Zoho account is on Zoho's European Union data centre, so your enquiry is stored in the EU.
  • Vercel hosts this website and handles the server logs described insection 2.

Transfers from the UK to the European Economic Area are permitted without additional safeguards, because the UK recognises the EEA as providing an adequate level of protection. Where a provider or one of its group companies stores or accesses information outside the UK and the EEA (Vercel is US-based, and Zoho's support teams sit in several countries), that transfer is covered by the safeguards UK data protection law requires, such as the International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with anyone else except where the law requires it, or where we need professional advisers (lawyers, accountants) bound by their own duties of confidentiality.

5. Cookies and analytics

This website runs no analytics, no advertising pixels, and no tracking cookies. We do not know who visits, and we are not measuring you.

Forms provided by Typeform may set cookies that are strictly necessary for the form to work, such as keeping your place in a multi-step assessment.

Our host, Vercel, offers an analytics product. We have not enabled it.

If we introduce analytics or advertising tools in future, we will update this policy before they go live, and ask for your consent where the law requires it.

6. How long we keep it

Where an enquiry does not lead to us working together, we keep it for24 months from our last contact with you, then delete it. That window exists because partnering conversations restart: a company that was early in 2026 is often ready in 2027, and the context is worth having.

Where we do work together, we keep records for the length of the engagement and for as long afterwards as we need them to meet our legal, tax, and professional obligations.

Server logs are held by our host for a short period for security and reliability purposes, then discarded. We do not retain a copy of them ourselves.

7. Commercially sensitive information

Some of what the assessment asks about (runway, fundraising position, deal status) is commercially sensitive. We treat it the way we treat client information: shared only with the people at Probacure who need it to respond to you, never used as an example or reference without your permission, and never disclosed to a third party as part of any other engagement.

8. Security

We use reputable providers, restrict access to the people who need it, and require multi-factor authentication on the accounts that hold enquiry data. No system is perfect, but we take the protection of what you send us seriously.

9. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
  • have inaccurate information corrected;
  • ask us to delete it;
  • ask us to restrict how we use it;
  • object to our use of it, including an absolute right to object at any time because we rely on legitimate interests;
  • receive it in a portable format, where that right applies.

Email info@probatech.co.uk and we will respond within one month. There is no charge.

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office atico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would rather you raised it with us first so we can put it right.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be explained here rather than made quietly.
